THE PATH OF MAN: FROM PREHISTORY TO THE PRESENT

• Day 1: Naples Airport/Station – Hotel Caserta
  Arrival at Naples International Airport/ train station and transfer to the hotel for free time and dinner.

  Day 2: Tora e Piccilli – Conca della Campania
  Breakfast and departure for Tora and Piccilli, a little town located inside the Roccamonfina Regional Park – mouth of the Garigliano river. Guided tour of the historic center and the paleontological site of the Ciampiate del Diavolo, among world most ancient footsteps of the Neanderthal Man, historically attributed to the Devil. In the afternoon visit to Conca della Campania Falls, territory of the extinct volcano of Roccamonfina. Dinner and overnight.

  Day 3: Pietravairano – Teano
  Breakfast at the hotel and departure for Pietravairano, old territory of the Sanniti population. Visit to the San Nicola Temple Theater (VI – IV century B.C.) surrounded by greenery at an altitude of 600 meters, unique archaeological site of its kind. In the afternoon visit of the city of Teano, ancient capital of the Sidicini population, also known for the Risorgimento events linked to the Garibaldi’s Expedition of the Thousand. Visit to the Theater (II B.C.), Archaeological Museum and Cathedral. Dinner and overnight.

  Day 4: Riardo – Pietramelara – Roccaromana
  Breakfast at the hotel and departure for the characteristic villages of Monte Maggiore. Visit of the old borough and the Castle of Riardo (IX century). In the afternoon visit of the Tower of Roccaromana (XI –XII century) and the historic center of Pietramelara. Dinner and overnight.
  Day 5:Mignano Monte Lungo – San Pietro Infine
  Breakfast at the hotel and departure for Mignano Monte Lungo, a town where the first fight by the new Italian army against Nazi Germany (1943) took place. Visit to the military cemetery. In the afternoon visit of the town of San Pietro Infine, crucial site in the famous Battle (1943) made famous by the John Huston documentary “The battle of San Pietro”. Today the city center is called “The Pompeii of the ‘900” because it preserves intact evidence of the bombing. Dinner and overnight.

  Day 6: Hotel Caserta – Naples Airport/Station
  Breakfast at the hotel, transfer to the station/ airport at the end of the services.
