  • MappaDay 1: Rome
    Arrival to Rome airport and private transfer to the hotel 4* in Rome, dinner and overnight.

     

     

     

  • RomaDay 2: Rome 
    Breakfast, meeting with our local guide in the hall of the hotel, departure by private bus to visit Rome city centre. Visit to: Basilica of St Peter, Sistine Chapel and Vatican Museums. After lunch, guided tour of: Trevi fountain, Piazza Venezia, Piazza Navona, Campo dei Fiori and the Pantheon. Dinner and overnight stay in the hotel.

    Day 3: Rome 
    Breakfast, meeting with our local guide in the hall of the hotel, departure by private bus to visit Rome city centre. Visit to: Basilica of St. Maria Maggiore, Basilica of St. John’s in Laterano. After lunch guided tour of: The Capitol Square, View of Roman Forum, Colosseum, Arch of Costantine. Return to hotel, dinner and overnight stay.

  • Assisi

    Day 4: Rome – Assisi
    Breakfast meeting with our escort in the hall of the hotel, departure by private bus for Assisi, the town of San Francesco. Arrival for lunch. During the afternoon visit of the BASILICA OF SAN FRANCESCO D’ASSISI, the Franciscan monastery, il SACRO CONVENTO, and the lower and upper church (Basilica inferiore e superiore) of St Francis were begun immediately after his CANONIZATION in 1228, and completed 1253. The lower church has FRESCOS by renowned late-medieval ARTISTS CIMABUE and GIOTTO; in the Upper church are frescos of scenes in the life of St. Francis by Giotto and his circle. Accomodation in hotel, dinner and overnight stay.

  • GubbioDay 5: Gubbio – Perugia
    Breakfast, meeting with our guide in the hall of the hotel and departure by private bus for Gubbio to visit the old city that was built on calcareous stones, the typical colour of this kind of stone gives it the appellative of “grey city”: As for Assisi, Gubbio’s history its linked to St. Francis: the legend tells that in this city the Saint tamed a ferocious wolf that scared the inhabitants. St. Francis church was built where this miracle took place. Piazza Grande (“The Big Square”) is the centre of this town, you can begin from here your tour of Gubbio. The principal monuments are Palazzo dei Consoli, Palazzo del Capitolo, the Cathedral and the Church of Santa Maria dei Servi Lunch in a typical restaurant. In ther afternoon transfer to Perugia to visit the city with beautiful art, fascinating historic sites, and delicious local delicacies like black and white truffles, artisan chocolate, salt-cured meats, and wild game. Walking tour to see: the monumental Piazza IV Novembre, the beautiful medieval Fontana Maggiore and the wonderful Palazzo dei Priori. Come back to the hotel for Dinner and overnight stay.

  • Cascate delle MarmoreDay 6: Spello – The Marmore Falls
    Breakfast, meeting with local guide in the hall of the hotel and transfer to Spello to visit the city. The town is enclosed in a circuit of medieval walls on roman foundations, including three roman gates: Porta Consolare, Porta di Venere and the Arch of Augustus. There are many important churches, many of which dating back to medieval times. Santa M. Maggiore where we can find frescoes by Perugino (1512). The most striking feature is the Baglioni chapel, frescoed by Pintoricchio. We can continue the tour visiting the church of S.Andrea, built in 1025, with a lot of frescoes from the XIV to the XVI century. In the right arm there’s a splendid altar piece of the Madonna and child with Saints by Pintoricchio and Eusebio and S.Giorgio. Lunch in a typical restaurant. In the afternoon transfer to the Marmore falls, with its 165m course divided into 3 falls, it is the highest in Europe, the park is a protected area that considers this waterfall its greatest attraction. Come back to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

  • Day 7: Rome
    Breakfast and departure by private bus for Rome airport.
