After lunch departure for Naples, hotel accomodation, dinner and overnight stay.

    Day 5: Naples
Breakfast, meeting with our escort in the hall of the hotel and city Sightseeing by double-decker bus. You will be able to discover the most beautiful and picturesque places of this magical city that is rich in history, traditions, art and breathtaking views. Lunch at a restaurant. In the afternoon guided walking tour through Naples. The tour starts in the Monumental Naples with the Castle Nuovo, the San Carlo Opera House, the Umberto I Gallery, the former Royal Palace, and the San Francesco di Paola Church. In about 30 minutes you will reach the National Archaeological Museum, here Charles of Bourbon established the museum in the late 18th-century to house the Farnese collection he inherited. Come back to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

    Day 6: Pompei – Hercolanum
Breakfast, meeting with the guide in the hall of the hotel and departure for a tour in Pompeii and Herculaneum, you can begin your exploration of the mystery of the two towns were time was “frozen” and where you can see all the aspects of the roman everyday life. In the first century AD the Roman Empire had many cities, but none located in a more beautiful setting than those lining the Bay of Naples. On August 24rd, 79 AD, Pompeii looked like any other bustling, prosperous ancient city but just three days later, on August 26th, the city fell silent and the place itself had literally vanished from the face of the earth. Lunch during the excursion. Come back to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 7: Caserta – Santa Maria Capua Vetere
Breakfast, meeting with our guide in the hall of the hotel and departure by private bus for Caserta to visit the Caserta Royal palace, realised in the XVIII century and wanted by King Charles III of Bourbon. This is one of the most important Palaces ever built in Italy and it is one of the most beautiful in Europe. Visit of the apartments and of the enormous Royal Park, extended approximately for 100 hectares and 3 km of length, with water mirrors that can reach up to 1 km. Transfer to the Old city, one of the best – preserved Medieval Bourg of the South of Italy. Walking in this little village is wonderful among its little, narrow streets just interrupted by huge burst of landscapes, the Romanesque Cathedral and its ancient houses. Lunch in a typical restaurant. Transfer to Santa Maria Capua Vetere to see the Temple dedicated to the god Mitra. The cult of Mitras is of Persian origin, and was almost certainly brought to Rome by the prisoners of war who later became gladiators. Come back to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

    Day 8: Capua – Pietravairano – Rome
Breakfast, meeting with our guide in the hall of the hotel and transfer to Capua to visit the archeological site of ancient Capua where you’ll visit the Roman amphitheater of Spartacus, the Gladiator Museum. Capua was the birthplace of the gladiator revolt led by Spartacus against the Roman Empire, which arose due to the inhumane conditions the gladiators suffered. The battle ended with the complete defeat of the rebels and Spartacus met his death on the field. Thousands were crucified by Crassus along the Appian Way, a road built by Appius Claudius in 312 B.C. to connect Rome with Capua. Visitor the Gladiator Museum with the guide. Transfer to Pietravairano to visit the temple theatre of Saint Nicholas Mount, an ancient temple with a roman theatre discovered very recently. The trail that leads to the temple allows you to admire a suggestive landscape. Lunch in a typical restaurant and departure for Rome, hotel accomodation, dinner and overnight stay.
